What could be nicer than a
Valentine's Day tea for two?
...Maybe a romantic dinner with a nice wine?
...How about a late night dessert of strawberries dipped in chocolate... and a glass or two of champagne?
How about all three?!

Tea for Two
This fine bone china is Old Country Roses made in England by Royal Albert, and it was passed down to me by my mother.
Tea is served at 4 o'clock.
This clock is 24k gold plated and was given to me by my mother forty years ago.
My sweetheart and me.
He is 6'3"... I am not.
We have be happily married for 30 years. We are blessed and appreciate that... because it is the second marriage for both of us.
We met on a blind date!
These are faux candies. The are very good for any diet plan... because they are 100% calorie free ;)
I offer these and more on my website.
(information is on top of sidebar)
These pretty little sugar cubes are also faux.
This large table doily was also my mother's and is very old.
The napkins are actually pretty little hankies that I opened for today's tablescape. They were my mothers and they are also old.
Did you enjoy your tea?
Dinner will be served at 8 o'clock.

Oh My... dinner is starting late.

Oh My... dinner is starting late.
We will have some nice wine in the Princess House stemware.
I've used long taper candles for a romantic feel. The wine will also help with that.
The dinner plates are from TJ Maxx.
The flatware has real gold detailing. It was fairly inexpensive, but still feels good in the hand.
These little lead crystal candle holders have a real gold band on them and were found at Goodwill. I have a punch card there... do you?
The china also is trimmed with gold.
There we are again... do you see us?
We are very lucky to have each other!
~~~
Time sure has passed quickly!
It's 10:35 and I'm ready for dessert!
We have a nice bubbly champagne!
These are the old fashioned champagne glasses, not the fluted ones that are so popular today.
I just can't resist lovely plump strawberries dipped in decadent milk chocolate... how about you?
Or do you prefer dark?
I will place the fresh strawberries in the little oblong dish, and the chocolate in the precious little swan... just the right size for dipping the tip of the berry!
These champagne glasses are lead crystal and have a beautiful "ring" to them when you tap on the rim.
They are from Princess House.
I sold Princess House when my girls were 10 and 6, and the boys (twins) were just toddlers.
Is that still in business?
Well... look at the time...
It's almost midnight!
Good night to all my bloggy buddies!
Thank you so much for visiting me today. I enjoyed my little Valentine fantasy.
My husband and I will not be together this year for Valentine's Day. I think that might be a first.
He will be back soon, to help with more of our preparation to sell the house.
Thank you to Susan at Between Naps on the porch for hosting this wonderful event every Thursday.
What cute faux goodies. Your romantic table is just ooh-la-la.
What a beautiful table you've set! Your china pattern is one I have loved for years and would love to have a set, but alas, I don't! You have some pieces I've never seen before. How wonderful that you and your hubby met and have a marvelous marriage! You two look so sweet in the picture!
Happy Valentine,
Shelia ;)
What a wonderful romantic date. Everything is just so beautiful. I love how so many items have a story. I am a huge sentimentalist. (If that is even a real word.)
Hi Bunny Jean, your table is perfect! Every single detail is so elegant and romantic. I adore the Old Country Roses....so beautiful. You have done such a wonderful job!
Happy Valentines Day to you!
What a fun idea to take us around the clock with your tablescape - thanks!
Looks like you and your valentine are celebrating in style! Clever post! Thanks for sharing and have a Happy Valentine's Day!
A beautiful romantic table...love the little swans, but even better is the vision of them full of chocolate! I do love the Old Country Roses pattern.
It all looks so pretty! And congratulations on being married for such a time. I'm on my third actually. Tells you how much luck I have with romance! But I won't go there. This one has lasted 12 years though. The other two eight years each. So I guess I'm doing better...
Oh I loved the day. The narration was so fun. I love how you used the hankies for napkins. How creative. And the clock was a neat addition too.
Thanks for sharing.
Have a Blessed Friday,
Sherry
I love Old Country Roses dishes. I have a few pieces myself. But they aren't family heirlooms. I love how you wrote this post. Very clever & cute. I love, love, love the old clock. And I'm sorry that you & hubby won't be together for Valentine's Day. Good luck with selling the house. Thanks for visiting my blog & commenting.
I love it all! Everything is beautiful, and it's so nice that you had special items from your mom to use.
Hi, so nice to meet you. I’m Yoli, a fellow “Texas Blogging Gal”. I made it my goal to visit each member’s Blog. The table is set so beautifully. I'm a single mom of 2 teen kids, so for Valentine's Day we are all going out to supper. I do like that though that you met your husband on a blind date. Maybe I too can meet someone, someday, and just at tall.
God Bless You!
What a beautiful setting, I think I will just pop over for tea. Interesting to read your profile as I have a distant cousin with vineyards in the Nappa Valley, my son regularly visits Palm Springs and I have stayed with friends in Fort Worth. Small world.
Old Country Rose is one of my favorites too. Just beautiful! Thanks so much for sharing. Have a great Valentine's Day! Cheers, Lia
