Fall Time Blues

Yes... 

Fall can be blue too!

These are some photos of my blue and white formal living room from when I lived in Texas.

I really like the contrast of the orange and blue together,
after all they are complementary colors on the color wheel!

I think it really brightens up the Fall decor. 

What do you think?

I never even bothered to take down my other bright floral decor. 


It is very different from when I used this cute little squash creamer and sugar bowl
in the dining room where there were only Fall colors.

Four Little Pumpkin Heads

 I just have to share four 
of my favorite pumpkins.

One of them is Buddy... 

He just knew I wanted him in this shot. 

He truly is my buddy!

These pumpkins were purchased a few years ago from Hobby Lobby. 

The picnic baskets are vintage.

I keep my sewing notion in one and fabric scraps in the other.

The paper labels are from the Graphics Fairy
and are just held on with double stick tape.

See that old wooden ironing board?

It makes a great sofa table.

I always try to bring it out this time of year

 but since we got the new sectional it doesn't fit. 

I will be posting some pictures of my current Fall decor

(in my greatroom) in the next few days.

Feeling kind of Fallish?

I am SOOOO very thankful that our weather has started to cool down.
 Temps are now in the low 100's.
Yes my bloggy friends... that is a cool down here in the desert.

Before I can bring the spirit of fall into my home I will first need to take down my seascape decor. 
As par for the course I got it up late and still haven't taken any pictures.

But in the meantime I will share some of my favorite fall pictures from the last few years. 
Don't worry... I still plan to share some new ideas ASAP.

Colorful Fall Cloches

 Here are my fall cloches.

 I shared this post last year but I was too late to join Marty's Fall Cloche Party...
so I am sharing at her party this year :)

This is my largest cloche. 

It is much bigger than it appears!

I added last years potpourri.
The fragrance  has faded but it still makes a nice "filler".

I hoard save and try to reuse everything! 

My Foyer...
 In reality, it's just a small wall next to the front door.

This little piece of furniture is the perfect size for my small entry.
When I found it at an antique mall it sure didn't look like this!

Please, do not tell him what that sign says...

Now let's step into the PARLOR.

Another small wall just opposite on the "foyer".

Are you looking at me? 

Well... Here's Looking at YOU!

Now we are in the formal living room.

This is one of my wire cloches. 

I haven't lit that candle yet... 

since I haven't wanted a fire in the house!

I need to transfer one of my battery operated candles in place of the real one.
I love the ones that smell like vanilla!

Now we enter the formal dining room. 

Okay, I have to confess... there is nothing "formal" about my home!
All of these "rooms" are just one big Great Room.

My favorite little BIRD PLATES are inside these three  cloches on pedestals.
The little pedestals topped with "cheese domes" were all found at Goodwill.

This candle is decorated with a sheet of printable vellum paper.
The image is from the Graphics Fairy.

So is this one.

The candles are real wax but they have a battery operated "flame". 

OKAY...

We have made the tour of the Great Room. 

Now we are back in the "foyer".

Here are those favorite little bird plates again.

The apple bowls are full of acorns
that were on clearance at Wal-Mart for 1.00!

These darling little birds were on clearance at
The Cracker Barrel for just 1.50 ea.
I miss that store...

I Have Fallen and I Can’t Get up!

I know… not too original.

But I have Fall all over my house,

and I mean all over my house.

Boxes and boxes of it.

These boxes have been packed in the garage

ever since my move from Texas.

If I am not careful I might really fall, and I

just might not want to get up!

Will I EVER get this done?

I had hoped to get it all mostly displayed

and my pictures taken for this weeks parties.

But I had to stuff it all back into the garage

for unexpected out of state visitors.

So I’ll try once more…

Until I get it all sorted and put out, 

I would like to share some previous 

pictures taken in my Texas home.

 Most of the pumpkin items are from Ross.

The orange dinner plates are from Ross.

The yellow dinnerware is from Kohl's.

The green salad plates are from Ross.

Pumpkin tureen is from TJMaxx.

Flowers are from Ross.

Turkey gravy bowl is from Ross.

 Plush Turkey is from Hubby.

He won it at a ‘crane game’ at the gas station!

Snapdragons from TJMaxx.

Twig pumpkins are from WalMart.

The flatware is from Ross.

Napkins are from WalMart.

 Dish is from Ross and Cinnamon Roll 

candle was sold on my old website.

 These candles smelled SO good.

These items were purchased in 2009.

Of course I have newer items

and will share them soon!
