The last two days have been really hot
here in my California desert home.
This little guy came to rest
in the shade of my front door alcove.
We startled each other when I opened the door
to water the potted plants in the courtyard.
He soon came back.
He was panting so badly that I felt sorry for him.
So I put out a tiny little hummingbird feeder.
I didn't get a picture of him eating...
maybe tomorrow.

Oh my goodness--114 degrees! I tell you--I think I would go into a coma. In this house we don't have air conditioning. Of course, this house has only gotten warm a couple times this year of living here. At least in California your humidity is not like here:)
Stay cool! --Sandy
Oh, that mercury glass candle holder you got me is the perfect color with my new paint! Thanks so much for that!
That is a sweet little guy. Love to see him eating. Try to keep cool. Love that palm tree.
Hi Bunny! Oh, what a darling little hummingbird. Poor little thing, he was resting in the shade. You're so sweet to put out a feeder for him.
Have a great weekend.
be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
That poor little thing! He was probably thinking about swimming in the fountain under the Palm Tree.
Oops! That was really me leaving you a comment......Emily was signed in and I didn't realize it! I hope he got some food and maybe a quick dip in the water.
