Transformation Thursday Party...
.
Today I want to share my Potting Shed
with the "faux brick" painted floor.
This was not a "shed" but an addition that was added
to the side of the house by the former owners.
It didn't even have any electricity wired up.
It was a workshop/storage room with one window.
Then I moved in and staked my claim...
and we put in another window and power!

I have to apologize for this picture.
The Mr. must have taken it,
I didn't even "stage" it first!
It was taken before the digital camera era.
I dug it out of the "picture box" and scanned it.
Do you have a "picture box"...
or a bunch of boxes like me?
Here are two more pictures of that yard.

I have always been a gardener.
In fact while living in Northern California
I had become a Master Gardener for my county.

I should scan that MG certificate...
and tell you I was 2nd in my class,
but I am not prone to bragging... :o)

I never got a MG certificate in Texas.
However, I did get the yard certified
as a Wildlife Habitat.

My newest garden is in the desert.
It has been too hot to do anything here so far.
We have a small backyard with only
the builders landscaping so far.
see the little baby plants?

But we like to think that we
have a huge backyard with
a wonderful view of the mountains.

Wow! You certainly are an accomplished gardener. I'm getting a late start. I bet your desert garden will be beautiful in no time. What a fabulous view you have of the mountains.
SO nice stopping by this morning! Such lovely photos and blog! Looks like you are a very creative lady! :)

HI there, Just came from Cozy Little House to say hello. What struck me is that you said you came from No.Ca. and I was raised and lived most of my life(until 4 yrs ago)in the Bay Area and finally in Sonoma County. Love your yard. I wonder how you've adjusted to the desert. Even living in Colorado we miss the beauty of No.Ca.
I'll be back to visit again.

I am a Master Gardener also. It has been so miserably hot hear that for the last two years I haven't done much to my yard! I just try to maintain!
Wow, I'm impressed and we seem to have lived in many of the same states. We moved to Oregon from the Bay Area and met and married in Texas but left there 20 years ago. Like you, I was the one that always had to deal with the "stuff" to but it nicely, during our many moves.
Your gardens were amazing and I know your desert garden will be just as fabulous. Just don't block that gorgeous view! Thank you for joining the Open House party.
xo,
Sherry
What beautiful views. I'm in Arizona and I know what you mean about gardening in the heat.
The MG courses in the desert are quite interesting. My gardens produce quite lushly now...I just had to relearn every single thing I knew from gardening in Ohio!
Great faux brick! Stamping is always so fun and fast.
Your garden is beautiful and the views are to!
