Did You Millsberry?

Millsberry was a virtual reality game
hosted by General Mills.
(2004-2010)

It was an online virtual game like Geo Pets.
These were the forerunners to games like the very popular FarmVille game in facebook... but it was all FREE.

This is a picture of my 4th of July Parade.
I won 1st place for this.

I know it doesn't look like much, but this picture has untold 'millions' worth of very rare to find items.

I was a MEGA millionaire!

I had seven beautiful houses that were all decorated to to hilt!
I had collected many of the most sought after early items that were discontinued and very rare.

To be a real fan of Millsberry and a 'big time player' you had to belong to a forum where you could chat, share tips, and most importantly... buy and sell things for outrageously inflated prices.

Not just for kids...

It was very social and we all got to know each other on a personal level. We could spend hours chatting, buying/selling and decorating our virtual homes. There were even some feuds.

We chatted live with each other and there were adults and kids. Of course there were moderators but I think back how this might have been dangerous for kids...

What kind of adult does this?

I got started playing this game to have something fun to do... long distance with my grand kids. Once I found the underground community (forum) it quickly became an addiction of sorts.

Remember that the games on Facebook are also quite addictive... and they can cost you some real money. Those same people who chided me about Millsberry got caught up in those Facebook games, hehehe.

I had family and friends that didn't understand...
Does this sound familiar?
Lol!

Did any of you play Millsberry or participate in the forum?
I would love to find someone that was.
I was known as BunnyJean.

xoxo

My kids used to play this and club penguin when they were younger. I must confess that I loved playing along with them and creating an imaginary and very luxurious little world for myself!

Thanks for having me at your link up too!

I hope your 4th celebrations were fabulous. I love your new header!

Best wishes,
