My Dish Cart Storage/Staging Table

I know I am not alone...

I have dishes stuffed stored ALL over the house in cupboards, closets and dresser drawers...
and also in the garage.

Rather than bore you with all the places that I have ‘stuffed’ dishes, I want to share a creative and useful idea.

dish storage 1

It is my dish cart/storage table.

I started out as a baby’s changing table
that I got at the Goodwill for 10 bucks!

It looked like it had never been used,
but even though, it felt just a little "loose".
So I asked The Mr. for help.

He took it apart and glued the dowels.
Then he tightened up the screws.

I remembered some little black wheels that I never used on the plastic storage drawers towers in my craft room.

So, The Mr. drilled some holes and popped in the wheels.

Dish storage closet

This is where I store it!
It fits in the closet where I keep my fabrics,
extra linens, and craft room overflow.

Those nifty little wheels allow me to roll it in and out for easy access. I can also roll it into the other room when I am setting up for a tablescape.

For 10 bucks and very little effort… I am happy!

 What do you think?

Brilliant! My real rolling cart is in a storage room holding china. I guess I need to retrieve it or make one like yours. Wow - great idea.

Elaine stole my comment lol! I agree, you are a genius! I have to go up and down stairs to get my table items! How nice it would be to just wheel them in! Great reuse of an item for another use!

I have been on the lookout for one of these. This works out great and would also make a great bar if you ever needed something like that!
