The New Sectional

 Here are some pictures
of the new sectional.

I told you the other day I would try to share
some pictures of the new sectional , so here they are.
I will be decorating for spring in the next few days.

The colors are quite "warmified", much more than in real life. This picture was taken in the late afternoon and there was
a natural golden glow, in addition to the lamps.

I wish I had a picture showing
the previous furniture as it sat in the room.

Delivery was set for between 4-7 and they arrived at 3.
So I blame them for my not having "before" pictures.

There was an 84" sofa, wingback settee, and wingback chair.
The settee was placed under the window with the end tables and lamps. The sofa was in front of the dining table similar to how it is now.

The problem was that the window is situated so that when the settee was centered under the window, the back of the sofa extended too much into the walkway between the living room and dining room.

The sectional allowed me to eliminate the left end table and not have to center  (the lamps) under the window. The lamp you see on the left of the window is a floor lamp. It is now balanced.

You have no idea how difficult it was for me to change out my old furniture. Even though it was 15 yrs old (and out of style) it was in great condition. Also, all my accessories coordinated with it.

The next step is to paint the coffee and end tables. The coffee table has a honey pine top as does the dining table. I will either paint them (the tops) or stain them a dark walnut to match the tv wall unit.

So now I have to decide whether to paint the end tables solid black or cream. Then what to paint the coffee table... and whether to stain the top or paint.

Decisions, decisions...

The Mr. will be home from ND and off for the whole week!!! We will be busy doing projects, and having fun before he returns to ND for a few more weeks.

ANNOUNCEMENT:
There will be not be a Bunny Hop Party next week!!! I will be enjoying the week with The Mr.

Have a good week!

xoxo

Love that sectional! We are shopping for one right now. Ours MUST have a recliner on one end of it, however. (him) This just puts another kink in the search.

I agree with you I hate to change my sofa because it fits in with the color of my wall so well, maybe out of style ? it's chippendale

I would like to see your tables black but it depends about your assecories

Bunny Jean -- The new sectional looks lovely. I suspect you will end up doing the tables in black -- after all, that was the way you were headed in your original designs for the room. Look forward to seeing the evolution of the room.

Hope you are enjoying the homecoming week with your husband.
