How Do All of You Do It?

I don’t mean to get personal,

but I really want to know.

Do you have a secret technique or is it just haphazard. Do you have a schedule or is it spontaneous? Is it getting easier the more you do it? Is it still fun or is it becoming a chore?

I am asking about blogging… silly.

What else is there?

I have no idea how so many of you do it. You all have the best projects to share and with such regularity. I am totally in awe of all the wonderfully creative and prolific bloggers who are sharing day after day!

I am certainly not in that category.

At least not yet...

I spend WAY too much time writing a post… so much that it has become something I avoid instead of looking forward to. The fact that I can’t type may be part of the problem, but it’s also formatting my post.

So I will try Windows Live Writer

one.more.time.

The other thing that I find to be time consuming is PICTURES. Not just taking them… mostly because I don’t have a good camera, but it’s also the process of editing and watermarking.

I need to find a photo editing/storage program that I like.

The really bad news it that all my pictures were stored on my desktop computer that just died. I had been in the process of organizing them and even trying to get a stockpile of edited and watermarked all ready to use :(

Again...

How do YOU do it?

Hey Bunny!
I'm glad to see I'm not alone in feeling this way! Late last year, especially after Mom died, posting, pictures, composing, etc., etc., etc., became sooo stressful! It was more of a disliked job, instead of joyfully sharing something you enjoy! The stress was just too much for me. Fibromyalgia thrives on stress, so I had to quit for a while (almost 6 months now). Doug just had neck surgery (Tuesday), and that had me stressed out so badly! You can't imagine! I'd like to know the answer to your question, too! How does everyone else juggle everything and have sure cool projects, recipes, pictures, blah, blah, blah!!!
Hang in there, Kiddo!

Wow, major big OUCH loosing pictures. Not good at all.

Try PicMonkey for editing/watermarking. picmonkey.com

It is free, lets you add a nice tidy basic frame (you can make it very narrow if you like) and lets you watermark with several fonts to choose from. You can crop pictures too (actually there is a lot you can do inside of picmonkey but start with the basics of crop/frame/watermark/save.

I save my pictures at 980 pixels. Just play around with the choices that are offered until you feel comfortable.

On posting - I cut back from every day to about twice a week. If I feel like it I post more often but I have stopped worrying about posting. That helped cut down on stress AND I have more time to do the daily living stuff (laundry, dishes, vacuuming... hmm).

I find I am not doing as many projects as I was when I was daily posting. I also notice that I will take pictures of any sequence of something I am doing that may be interesting to post about just in case I want to use the sequence later.

Letting go of: daily posting, trying to think up new projects, worrying about visitors/linky followers etc has also helped with stress reductions.

Take care of you Bunny Jean. I love checking out your blog and I love joining in on your Bunny Hop.

I really don't spend a huge amount of time blogging. I can do a post in a few minutes (up to about a half hour) and most of my blogging time consists of visiting other blogs. I love blogging so the time I spend is "my time". Everyone needs to spend time doing what they like. I never used to use anything to edit my photos but now I occasionally use PicMonkey. I love it, it is so fun! I hope you get used to your laptop soon, or get a new desk top!

I really love it, but I don't do much posting either, one post a week and sometimes two if I have a special thing to post. Sometimes I take pics when I can and I save them for a rainy day..lol!!! I love it, specially visiting paties to get ideas and inspiration, I totally love it and enjoy visiting with my friends. Anyway, I'll be blogging for a long time! Lots of hugs and thanks Bunny Jean for your great Bunny Hop Party too!

ohh, so sorry your lost your pics! how awful!
Windows Live Writer-fabulous! Can't say enough good things about it. But I'll only talk about watermarking. Once you set your defaults, WLW will automatically size, justify and watermark EVERY picture you upload. Watermark, size and justify once, then it will do it for you.
I hope you try it!

I am still learning...everything!! PicMonkey is terrific for photos! I had a question about something, sent them a "help me" email and had a response the next day!

The answer is I don't do it all!
I blog maybe two or three times a week, have stopped doing things such as tables scaping and reviewing books just to have something to blog about.
But now that I've read here about how to watermark, that is one thing I will start to do!

I think most find the process of blogging time consuming. My goal is to post something once a week, and even that gets to be a lot for me if I don't have something specific in mind. I love to create tablescapes, but find that it's difficult to do that well on a weekly basis. I don't like to create a table just for the sake of a post. I want to have a purpose. I do keep files of photos that I take when opportunity presents itself. My recent Tuscan table is an example. ;-)
Good luck with it all. I'm feeling much the same.

Thank for being so real with this post! It is hard to blog at times. I went through a spell for over a year that I just lost interest in blogging though I love writing and visiting other bloggers. Then I went through this..feel guilty about taking so much time to blog and never feeling as though my blog was getting any interest in the sense of comments and etc. Now to be brutally honest...I have asked myself WHY DO I BLOG? That can be another topic for another day...But here is where I am at in this phase of my life...I enjoy it...I try to blog at least 3 days a week and depending on my mood and my time I may blog on other days. I spend way more time visiting other blogs than I do on my own. I do edit my own pictures and since I do it is a little more time consuming. I usually don't blog on weekends at all. I am way to busy with other interests, grands and family. Sunday is my family time with my little ducks so to speak and I try real hard not to take away from my family. For me personally, it was allowing myself to say...IF I get to blog today then great and if I don't then that's great too! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
