The Bunny Hop is now open to
ALL BLOGGERS!
You may remember that I shared
my New Years Resolutions.
"I am going to de-cluttered my house,
get organized, and loose 20 lbs.
Don't laugh... this just might be the year."
So far I have packed away
most of my Christmas decor.
Somehow these bins look so much bigger in the garage.
The artificial tree (the BIG one) is to the far right
in the tall cardboard box.
I still have two very large cardboard boxes to sort through. They are the boxes that hold the odds and ends of many past Christmases. Most of it needs to be tossed.
Hopefully I can narrow it down to what will fit
in two more of the bright green storage bins...
if I can still find any left at the store.
So that is a good start on de-cluttering and organizing. Now let me tell you about the last part of my resolution, losing 20 lbs.
I signed up for my private community's
"Commit To Get Fit" program.
Six weeks of exercise classes and healthy eating.
Monday I got weighed and measured.
I am SO glad I thought to shave my legs that morning as they measured my legs and I was wearing calf length pants...
and young Daniel was very cute.
He also measured my waistline... so much for vanity!
Now that was the easy part.
This morning was my first class... "Mat Express".
I figured that it took place on a "mat" and I was correct.
Just how hard can exercising while lying down be?
Well the "Express" part should have warned me.
The good part was that it only took 30 minutes.
The bad part was that is was crammed into 30 minutes!
Turns out that "Mat Express" is a quick form of Yoga.
It was different positions with rapid repetitions of 8.
I thought it was floor exercises and something I could do.
Yoga is something that I have never done before.
Something I didn't want to take, and something
that I am too stupid to quickly learn.
Silly me!
I thought yoga was slow and deliberate.
Intense, but relaxing... breathe.
By the time I figured out what arm, what leg and what direction... she was giving the next set of movements.
I was never breathing in and out at the right time.
In fact I was forgetting to breathe at all!
This was so rapid fire that I am not wanting to go back.
That and the fact that I can't seem to even lift my legs and point my toes without getting a foot cramp!
S
And then there is the fact that getting in
certain positions may allow air to enter a body cavity.
What goes in must come out. I'm just guessing...
Now mind you this was the first day in this series
and most of the participants were seasonal visitors.
It's not like I jumped into an ongoing class.
Can I be the only one who needs to go slow?!?
Tomorrow is a real yoga class... called "Yoga".
I hadn't planned on going to that one. Maybe I should.
Then again, they also offer a class called "Stretch"...
Now onto what you came here for,
The Bunny Hop Party!
Thanks to all of you for your participation.
I hope you have fun and find
some new blogs to visit!
xoxo

Bunny Jean,
I've been taking Yin Yoga for almost a year and I love it. It is primarily stretching. Slow paced -- some of the poses are held for 3 minutes. Very relaxing. You may want to check out that STRETCH class.
Namaste, Debra
You must be really nice to be organized. My work is still waiting for me at home. Good luck on your goals, Bunny Jean!
