Snow In The Desert?!?

A father and son enjoy walking in the desert snow

Everyone back home in the the Pacific Northwest
is getting hit hard with what is supposed to be
an unusually big snowstorm.

Seattle Space Needle

Well I was feeling a little left out...
so here is a video of a really unusual
Desert Snowstorm!

Be warned there is wonderful music, sung by
Dean Martin, to go along with the video.

Remember these pictures of the
that I shared late this summer?

Joshua Tree National Park

Joshua Tree National Park is located
about 40 miles from us in the "high desert".
It is named after the Joshua tree that grows there.

I know that I share this picture a lot,
but it is just so nice to see snow when it is so warm here.

I hope that wherever you are, that you are warm and comfortable and enjoying the start of this new year 2012!

I am sharing today at these parties:
