It was a Beautiful Sunday for golf!
The Humana Challenge, formally known as
the Bob Hope Desert Classic was held last weekend,
and The Mr. and I were there!
Most weekends are spent on our patio
watching the golfers on own golf course.
Sometimes we he golfs too.
| I took this photo on our own Sun City golf course... |
We have a nice enough golf course but it doesn't compare to the courses located about 5 miles down the road.
The homes are really nice too!
The are 120 golf courses here
in our little desert!
You can view the post where I shared some fabulous photos of the golf courses where this was played.
This is the 17th hole on the Palmer course.
We spent some time there watching the match.
Standing just up past that white bridge...
PGA West Palmer Course 17th hole, La Quinta, Ca,
Now for the Hole In One!
Below is a really short video on the 17th hole
(be sure to turn on your sound)
showing Danny Lee's hole in one!
BTW...
There was a really bad
wind storm on Saturday!
We almost went on Saturday,
but when we got about one mile from home
we were almost blinded by the sudden sandstorm.
Driving in these sandstorms can be very dangerous.
It's like driving in fog. Trees and power lines can fall.
The roads get closed and need to be plowed afterwards!
Below is a video of the wind at the Humana Challenge.
(Sorry I can't remove the ads on these next two videos)
This video doesn't even show how bad the blowing sand was.
There were also high portable grandstands
located at various holes.
There could have been some serious injuries
if the grandstands had blown down!
Thank goodness they shut it down for the day.
Reminder:
The Bunny Hop Party is now open to
ALL BLOGGERS!
The linky will be ready tomorrow at 4:00 Pacific time.
xoxo
