My Precious Weezie

Louise was my little girl Pomeranian.

This picture is edited to give her a cute Christmas look.

This is what she really looked like her very last Christmas.
Yes... she was starting to show her age.
It happens to the best of us.

She was wearing that little outfit because
I had shaved her during the heat of the summer,
and that time the hair never grew back.

That following Christmas my granddaughter Logan came to visit. She was very concerned about the fact that she might not see Louise the next time she came.

Here is Logan, Louise and Buster.

Louise passed the next Spring and Buster was lonely.
I told him I would get him a 'buddy'.

It took just three weeks.

One day on my way to the GW and...
my car just turned down a road I had never driven before.
Less than a mile later I came to the Animal Shelter.

I had never been there before!

I went in and found the most wonderful little dog.
Though you wouldn't know it from the way he looked.
The card said he was a stray, they called him Mopsey...

But I would call him Buddy!

This is how Buddy looked that first day.

I will share Buddy's Christmas pictures soon.

Please join me in the Christmas Pet Parade.
All pets are welcome... past and present.

Oh my goodness, what a sweet, sweet post. If for some reason, lol,I'm not on top of this as the next post unfolds, please email me since I've missed so much lately. You know me and my love for dogs.

Our big furry girl actually jumped in the back of our car at the rescue farm where we went - all the way in another state - like she was saying Pick Me! Pick Me! So we did and even with her health issues, she's been a wonderful girl for the last 5 years, but now showing signs of aging since she was 3-5 when we got her. She can no longer jump in the back of the "stinky" car but now has to be in the backseat which is easier for her to get in and out of. We won't get Steve a new car since our girl travels with us and runs errands (not summer) because his car holds a doggy smell even with her on comforters that get washed. That's how much we love her and her company :)

Wow Weezie was such a pretty pomeranian. She looks to have been very loved, I am very sorry she is gone, thats so hard =[. But I am sure she lived a long happy life cuz of how much she was loved by you.

Hey Bunny,
You can tell from Weezie's eyes that she loved you and knew it was returned. You're right, they love unconditionally! I'm so glad your angel turned the car down the street to get Buddy! He looks so very happy!!!

It is so hard when dogs get old--our oldest is a Yorkie who is 12--and showing her age really bad already. We lost her Mother a little over a year ago at 15. Janae and I are planning to get all of ours together and take some photos for the parade tomorrow night..wish us luck!

What a sweet post. Bless you for choosing to adopt a "Buddy" for your other dog Buster at an animal shelter. I'm sure he will show lots of love and appreciation to your family in the coming years. Thanks for stopping by my blog. :)

What a beautiful little girl Weezie was. This post is so sweet. And the sweet dogs left behind really are sad. I had one that wouldn't go down the steps to the backyard by himself when we lost our other dog. I love how you found Buddy - and I bet Buster was happy to have a new friend!
The last dog we lost was the sweetest Golden that lived to be 13 (after cancer surgery at 8) I had such a hard time being ready for another one until my daughter said she didn't like coming home from college without a dog here to greet her. So, we got the cutest most loving and often crazy Golden that is sitting by me as I write. He does need a friend - hope to adopt one soon.
Thanks for hosting the Pet Christmas parade. I love seeing all the cuties and hope to share my Jack soon!
