Bunny Hop Wednesday #2

It's PARTY TIME again...

I had 14 party goers  last week!

Not too bad for my VERY FIRST blog party.

I am happy to have made all those new friends!

Please come and join the fun.

What's in a Name?

I don't think my husband ever liked my real first name
because he always used my middle name, Jean.
But I guess that was just a little bit "too plain" for him,
so then he started calling me Jeanie Weenie.

That got to be a bit embarrassing out in public...

Then years later it morphed into Hunny Bunny...
then Bunny Jean. Now it is just Bunny.

Only he calls me by that name...
and he still does so in public!

When I started my job at Ethan Allen they asked me
if I had a nickname that I might prefer to use.
I thought that "Bunny" would be different enough for people
to remember, and therefore help to get repeat clients

Well... I have to admit I felt a bit silly the first time
I heard "Bunny" called over the intercom.

I really liked thinking of myself as a "Bunny",
so when left Ethan Allen and started my
online design business, I named it
Bunny Jean's Design.

Then when I stopped the design business
and started blogging it was changed to
Bunny Jean's Decor... and More!

How did you get your blog's name?

Bunny, you can read about my blog name's history on my sidebar. It's the same as the name we gave our sail boat. Thanks for hosting! ~ Sarah

What a sweet story! My mom had a cousin nicknamed Bunny. I think her given name was Doris, but don't quote me! I think it's a cute name!

"Sweet Nothings" has always struck a chord with me, for some reason..then, just before I started my blog, I was at a craft fair and saw a tiny little wooden sign that simply said "Sweet Nothings". I bought it, brought it home and set it beside my computer. When I started the blog, I knew from the first that it's name would be Sweet Nothings.

Bunny, Thanks for hosting this type party. I certainly wish you every success. I am your newest follower.

I have five grandsons, now grown. Two of them started calling my Granny to see what I would do. They were six and eight at the time. When I laughed about it and embraced the title they asked if they could "really call me Granny". I said yes and the rest is history. We still joke about their prank backfiring.
It's not about what you call me, it's about the sincerity of the hugs you give me.

Hi Bunny! Thank you for the invite to your party! I joined in! I have two blogs, one is my card blog and one is my house blog (its new). "Scrappin' with DeeDee" came about because when I first started paper crafts I was into srapbooking, then I quickly became a card maker and I LOVE to use my scraps and recycle things. My house blog's name "Clover House" came about because we live on Clover Lane. That's my story! LOL! :) Thanks again for having me!

Showing up on Wed (party day) after a dozen others have posted already-- guess I'm "late to the party".. :)

The name I chose from my Blog is written in on my blog in the sorta byline.

The drama that gets me down that makes me need this battle cry? Stage 4 cancer for my husband.

Great party y'all- will look throughout the day to peek at your selections and place my comments for you talented folks.

Sincerely,
Suzanne in IL

Bunny, thanks so much for inviting me to your linky party. How did I get the name for my blog..well, I live in the country, cow farms all over the place but I have a lovely modern day victorian home with a lot of bling on the inside so I thought "Country Glamour" would fit! And I think that Bunny is the most adorable name ever! Such a great party and can't wait for next week.

Hi Bunny...thanks for hosting this fun party! I've enjoyed peeking around :) Cute story about your name...my story is pretty simple. I love anything chippy...so it just kind of evolved from the expression "Dripping with Charm" and became "Chipping with Charm". Thanks again for the invitation, Laurel

Hi Bunny thanks so much for visiting and inviting me over for this great party. My blog name is a combination of my favorite decorating style Shabby Chic and the nickname for my house, Home Sweet Cottage. So I combined the two and came up with Shabby Sweet Cottage. Thanks for hosting.

Hi Bunny,
Thank you for visiting me at "Home is Where the Heart is" its a pleasure meeting you. Your party sounds like fun and I have joined in, thank you for inviting me.
I named my blog "Home is Where the Heart is" because its also the name of a song sung by Elvis, my husband use to sing this song to our daughters when they were little. Its just the perfect fitting name for my blog since my heart is always at home.
I am your newest follower and have enjoyed my visit with you today.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

Bunny, it's okay that you have a "newbie" party too.

After all there are a great many duplicate themed parties here in bloggerville!

You are doing great!
