Take Time to Count Your Blessings...

I actually posted something today...
Then took it down.

Seems like nothing in my life is very important today... not compared to the tragedy in Haiti.

But how is today so different from any other? There is tragedy happening somewhere, to someone, every single day.

I think that all I can do is be grateful for all my blessings... and do whatever I can for those less fortunate than me.

Take care and God Bless.

So true! I was laughing and playing around today with some of my coworkers and someone said, Isn't that horrible about Haiti? I suddenly felt guilty for being happy and laughing, but then I realized I have so much to be thankful for. I am sad for that country, but I am so thankful for all that God has blessed me with. I have to keep singing His praises even in the midst of tragedy.
Hugs,
Tara

Hi Bunny, the wallpaper is creamy white and a butter beige color, actually the first 2 pictures in the new post are pretty accurate on the color, I loved it when I put it up about 5 years ago and I still get so many people who compliment it...Thanks for pickin up my button....Phyllis

Hi Bunny,
I SO agree with this post. My heart breaks for the people knowing all they've lost. My email has been filled with the animal rescuers in Haiti asking for help. They did the same with Katrina. Thank God for them thinking of the animals too. They saved thousands during Katrina. Pulled from attics and saved from drowning everywhere. They set up a shelter where Many,Many pet owners were able to come pick them up once they could get back in.
Thank you for coming by my post. GOOD for you keeping up the Veg diet. I also looked into veg pet food. The store owner said it's not good for the dogs. Their bodies really need the animal protien. Mine love the raw baby carrots for snacks. They jump around when they see the bag.
I want more than anything to keep meat from them, but I don't. I give them organic New Balance made by Dick VanPatten.
And abuout my followers. NOBODY ever came by or left a msg. Except you. The day I saw my followers go up, I thought I was seeing things. Thank you for doing that.
Well, I've pretty much wrote a novel here.LOL
Take care, keep me posted!
Kelly
PS You're a "better man than me" for being able to look deep into the PETA site. The scenes I've seen are burned into my brain forever. They're very disturbing.

Soooooo true... we are so very blessed. Disasters like that in Haiti, New Orleans and others really put our lives in perspective. Take care.

I think you are very right about that. There are always going to be disasters somewhere. And of course we feel terrible and do what we can. In terms of the storms, I thought the hail was going to come through my skylights. A tornado was spotted just down the road, but all seems okay in my yard today. Haven't ventured out to the front. But if one of the two large pine trees had fallen, I'm sure someone would have told me by now! Thanks for caring.

Hi, I found you at Texas Blogging Gals, and thought I'd drop by for a peek at your posts.
You are right, sadly there are disasters everywhere, every day. We should count our blessings and do what we can to help others. Who knows, next time it might be us in need.
